i always wanted to read this famous book - i wanted to read it when i was in school, but i always missed each other and didn't see it. i finished reading today, but i was a little disappointed. i don't know why cervantes created such an image of a "madman".
don quixote was a declining aristocrat. he was addicted to knights' novels and became obsessed with them. he found a pair of armor and rode on a skinny old horse. he began his imaginary journey of supporting justice and wandering the jianghu. he is a pure and stubborn idealist, living in fantasy. in other words, he is a completely stubborn lunatic. he regarded windmills as giants, sheep as enemies, convicts as knights, and a common village woman as his princess. repeatedly hit the wall, often head broken blood but unswervingly, infatuated. it's his servant sangqiu, who is fat and timid and greedy for a small price, who is still a normal man with flesh and blood. he will take advantage of his master's craziness and paranoia, play a little cleverness, and seize the opportunity to increase some benefits for himself. he is a real living man. just like this, two other living treasures, a pair of unimaginable masters and servants, staged a funny farce for us. one of the most amusing scenes is that in the dark night, sangqiu is afraid to hold his master's thigh all the time and dare not give up. however, he is eager to describe courteously, which is really vivid and vivid.
the most touching ones in the book are some of don quixote's good friends. they never give up on old tang. they must try their best to cure his madness. they have used violent means - to put the old tang in a cage and escort him home with arms; they have used the means of burning books and "pit" confucianism - to burn all the knights' novels in the old tang family and even seal the study; they have used the means of concealing the sky and the sea - to pretend to be a knight, to pretend to be a princess in distress and so on, all in order to pull the old tang from fantasy to reality. they really mean to their friends, especially for such a "terminally ill" crazy friend. they didn't give up, and even were wrongly wounded and beaten by old tang. life can have such a few friends, enough!
i just don't know the background of the times. i don't know what the intention of this episode is that some sangqiu, who was governor of the island for several days, handled several cases cleanly and fairly, but was forced to resign at last.
菊与刀英语读后感篇3
a christmas carol is one of the most famous works of charles dickens, who is a criticism writer in the 19th century. his works mainly reflect the reality. so i like his works very much.
charles dickens was born in 1812, england. he had many difficulties during his childhood. however, these experiences enriched his life, at the same time, supporting many writing materials for his writing. he wrote more than 20 novels in all, reflecting the hate to the money and the sympathy to the common people. his works, such as great expectations, a tale 0f tw0 cities, were affected by many readers.
this novel told a people who regard money as important as his own life---scrooge. even on christmas eve, he was also quite mean to everybody. there are five chapters in all. chapter 1 introduced scrooge’s character and marley, his friend’s ghost. the language was very beautiful and active. i like this part best. as followed there was a part of word to describe scrooge: he was a hard man with money, hard as a stone. he was a secret self-contained man; friendless and alone .the coldness inside him froze his old face. his eyes were red. his thin lips were blue. cold seemed to stiffen his way of walking. the hair on his head and above his eyes was white, white as snow. he carries this coldness with him always wherever he went. this part illustrated scrooge was a cold man. he grasped the money tightly. as the following story, scrooge refused his nephew invitation to have the dinner with his family. and he always scolded the christmas is humbug. he didn’t believe the existence of christmas and didn’t want to share his happiness and money with others. he had dinner in an inn and then went home. he had rooms in a house which had once belonged to marley. scolded sat quietly on the coach. but suddenly there is a big knocker on the door. it was marley’s ghost. the ghost was bound by the heavy chain and told scrooge its tragic fate. the ghost told scrooge that three spirits will come to scrooge and then faded away.
from chapter 2 to chapter 4, it talked about the three spirits. the first spirit stood for the past. it showed the happy times in the past of scrooge. in the past scrooge always said “merry christmas” to whoever he met. he loved life and enjoyed everything in his life. in this part the spirit also showed the first work of scrooge. his boss, fezziwig, treated them very well on christmas. but scrooge gradually changed. he loved money more than his lover. so his lover parted with him. it’s the money that made scrooge lost many things. the second stands for the present. in this part , scrooge is a greedy man . he has no mercy to everything and waste of his time. the third spirit stands for the future. in this part, it showed that scrooge regret what he had done. and scrooge was impressed at last. he understood money is not the only thing that is worth to reserve. love and care were important too.
at the last chapter, that is chapter 5, scrooge changed himself and gave mercy to the poor. and he had dinner with his nephew.
all in all, this story has a perfect end. form this story, i realized that in this world, money is not everything. we also need love and help.
菊与刀英语读后感篇4
the book i read this week entittled the red and the black, which is undoubtedly among the best liturature works. as a person who haven’t had much knowledge in literature, any comments on this work seem to be rather naive and even sort of reckless. but this is the only book i have access to recently. with much deliberation, i would like to write down following words.
the book mainly tells a story about a man named julien, who came from a carpenter’s family and got a shrewd father and two elder brothers characterized by huge size and rudeness. though he wasn’t quite athletic, he got talent with his memory. he could recite the whole contents of the bible, which made him admired by people around him and win him a job as a family teacher. and this is the part where our story begins. under his gorgeous face, there exists a relentless lust for fortune, power and status, all of which derive from his persuit of happiness, dignity and freedom and finally contributed to his downfall. (ing from the low class in the society and hope to achieve success with their own efforts. these people usually don’t have the necessary conditions to become successful, but they will by no means stop trying or let god tells them what their lives should be like, instead, they are willing to sacrifice anything to realize their dreams and earn their dignity. for these people, no matter what the consequences their struggle may be, i should forever pay my tribute to them. to some extent, they are the makers of the world.
菊与刀英语读后感篇5
it takes me a month to read the book which name is lady chatterley’s lover.the general idea of the story is about extramarital love.the main people are constance chatterley、clifford chatterley and mellors.so i will show some opinions about the story.
first,i think that virgin and unconscious love which obey the humanity is fake.second,it is ugly and indifferent that show no care about other’s sex.third,i insist that only warm heart can bring sex and true love.after i read this book, some ideas about sex have changed in my mind.i think that humanity is the ceremony of proclaiming somebody a buddhist.i still remember that when i read the book at the beginning,i completely hate chatterley’s behavior.however, with the development of the story,i feel soory for chatterley, because i believe that chatterley should stay with mellors.it can be explained from two aspects.on the one hand, who is her huaband can only give her his spiritual world, and she didn’t love him,so it can’t be permanent.in addition, clifford chatterley is a rebel,he is only caught in the general, popular rebellion of the young against any sort of real authority.on the other hand, lady chatterley and
mellors fall in love with each other.i think that their feeling is so perfect as we image.at the end of the story, there is a sentence “i must say goodnight,a little sadly, but with a hopeful heart.”in some sense,i believe that lady chatterley and mellors will love each other forever.
from what has been mentioned above,as a college student we should choose someone we really love.thus,we can get the ture love.i believe that they will go till the end.just as the chinese proverb says, in death or life (we are) separated and far apart; with you i made an agreement:i grasped your hand, together with you i was to grow old.to sum up ,we must be with a hopeful heart.finally,i wish that lovers are destined to be married.
